What is Best: One-Page or Multi-Page Website?

There is a movement towards one-page websites lately, and obviously there’s a good reason. It’s a great way to consolidate information and make things clear and easy to navigate. One-page websites force you to keep things simple. We love them for many reasons:

• Promotions
• App Promotion
• Create an online presence
• Promote a new service

One page websites are great for mobile devices because it’s more natural to scroll. Secondly, you have less than a minute to capture someone’s attention. This means that a one-page design forces you to be more creative because you have to creative an optimum experience for your users.

So when should you NOT use a single page site? Any site with substantial content. Typically you will see this on corporate sites, service portfolios, communities, churches, and other websites that just wouldn’t work well trying to squeeze it all on one page.

If you want some design inspiration, check out one of our favorite sites One Page Love. There are plenty of examples from all different industries.
