Review of Cloze APP – Relationship Management

It isn’t often that we give reviews, but now and then we come across a must-have app for our fellow business owners. It’s called “Cloze,” and not only is it powerful, but it’s also fun to use.

Their pitch: “Smarter Relationship Management; The no-work way to see everything about your contacts in one place. Email, phone calls, meetings, notes, follow-ups and social.”

review of cloze app screenshotFirst off, it has become the center of our workflow and we can no longer imagine working without it. It actually does a lot more than advertised, but let’s just start from the top. It automatically pulls in information from your email accounts, calendar, social media, phone call logs and notes – including those stored in Evernote as well as documents exchanged and interactions on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. It learns and prioritizes those contacts based on the strength of the relationship. This is measured by how often that person is contacted.

It is shocking what you can learn from your inbox.  You’re slow to reply to current clients, you’re losing touch with close friends, and your coworkers are always discussing the same stale topics. If only these revelations could be used to help you organize your inbox! That’s’ where Cloze comes in. It rates the electronic relationships you have with people, depending on several factors: Dormancy, Frequency, Responsiveness, Privacy, Freshness, and Balance. Cloze cannot track all the conversations you have in everyday life, so it’s not 100% accurate. But if it did, that would just be creepy. We’re more than happy to accept that Cloze only tracks your digital conversations.

Because you can customize each of your contacts, we do it to fit our business needs here at Organic Interactive. We have the ability to differentiate between vendors, clients, potential clients, and archived clients. It reminds us how often to reach out to them and reviews of cloze appexactly when to do it.  Business is all about relationships, so wouldn’t you want an app that not only knows whom to reach out to, but exactly how often and when?  What’s even more great about the app is the ability to set up templates so that following up with a personalized email is as simple as a click of the button. Your clients won’t know the difference.

When an email is sent through the panel, it will notify you when that contact opened the email. No more guessing whether someone received vital information. Not only that, but it informs us if they click a link or participate in any email activity within the email.

The only thing we don’t like about the panel is that it does not give you notifications when you get a new email.  We are hoping they add this feature in the future. We love the app so much that it doesn’t dissuade us. You’re going to love it too.

We are always discovering new ways to use the app for ourselves and our business but, the features mentioned above have already proven to be extremely useful in helping us keep up with our contacts.  Most of the information driving the Cloze features is automatically collected and categorized, so the only manual effort is assigning each contact to a category.
